Mission and Duties of the Educational Deputy of the School

 

Mission

The Educational Deputy of the School, as the principal authority responsible for academic affairs, oversees the planning, coordination, supervision, implementation, and evaluation of all educational activities. This office works to enhance the quality of education, develop graduate programs, and improve educational processes across the School.

 

Areas of Responsibility

1. Planning

Planning for effective implementation of approved educational programs.

Providing conditions necessary for the development and improvement of education within the School.

Coordinating with the University’s Educational Deputy to expand graduate and postgraduate programs.

Designing and implementing development programs aimed at enhancing faculty educational performance and recruiting new faculty based on academic needs.

Continuous review and revision of educational programs and presenting recommendations to relevant authorities.

Planning for the identification, encouragement, and support of outstanding and gifted students.

Engaging faculty members and academic departments in managerial, executive, and evaluative educational processes.

 

2. Coordination

Coordinating with the Dean and School Administration to achieve educational and research objectives.

Collaborating with other university units to support institutional strategic goals.

Ensuring synergy and alignment between academic departments to realize the strategic goals of the School and the University.

Maintaining effective communication with the University’s Educational Deputy to stay updated on policies and to convey the School’s proposals and requests.

Ensuring coordination among administrative activities and subordinate units in alignment with the School’s overarching objectives.

 

3. Supervision

Supervising the performance of academic departments and ensuring the proper execution of their activities.

Monitoring the correct implementation of duties within the Education Office, Graduate Studies Office, and the Educational Development Office.

Ensuring full compliance with approved educational regulations, bylaws, and policies.

 

4. Executive Affairs

Implementing the policies and guidelines of the University’s Educational Deputy at the School level.

Actively participating in meetings of the Educational Council, Graduate Studies Council, and the School Executive Board.

Reviewing incoming administrative correspondence, referring cases to relevant units, and following up to ensure required actions.

Collecting and reviewing proposals from faculty members, academic departments, students, and staff, and providing actionable solutions.

Assisting in the planning and organization of scientific conferences, educational workshops, and continuing education programs.

 

5. Evaluation

Continuous evaluation of the School’s educational activities, including the assessment of faculty teaching quality.

Conducting internal evaluations of academic departments and subordinate units.

Evaluating the performance of staff working within educational affairs.

Assessing educational processes to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the School’s academic system.
